**SPECIAL SEPTEMBER MEETING 9/10/2019

**TOUR AND PRESENTATION AT LEBANON VALLEY COLLEGE - Our monthly member meetings begin in September. The first, on Tuesday, Sept.10th at 7PM will be held at the Susan H. Arnold Gallery and Zimmerman Hall at LVC. A gallery tour followed by a presentation by G. Daniel Massad, creator of the current exhibit - A Theatre of Things. Our host for the evening is Barbara McNulty, Asst. Professor of Art History and the Director of the Gallery. Google G.Daniel Massad to view his work at several art institutions and galleries.

Parking is available on Church St. and a municipal lot on White Oak. A brief business meeting will follow the presentation.

**NEW MEMBER BREAKFAST - Thank you to the new members and board members who shared a

fun Saturday morning breakfast meeting! There will definitely be a repeat!!

**2020 HAAA ANNIVERSARY - Photo submissions are picking up for the 2020 Anniversary Calendar. Entry deadline is September 20th. Go to hersheyart.org click on the Events tab >

2020 Anniversary Calendar for details. Don’t forget, members may have their name and a single preferred contact included in the calendar for a $5 donation. You may send a check with “Calendar” in the memo line to HAAA PO Box 654 Hershey PA 17033 or bring your donation to the September Member Meeting.

**COOKS NEEDED! - The Soup Cook-off sponsored by the Hershey Partnership is Sat. Oct 5 in the Hershey FIre Company building. Marie Gamon’s winning ”Stuffed Pepper Soup” will be served during the event. We need 3-4 more cooks to each make one pot of soup. Support our community outreach and the Hershey Fire Company by cooking and/or attending this annual event. Contact me at kgrim04@gmail.com if you can cook up a pot!!

**BLOOMING ART AT THE HERSHEY CONSERVATORY SHOW AUGUST 24th and 25th - Sorry if you missed this one!! 25 Artists displayed their work in the beautiful Hershey conservatory. Nearly $600 in sales! We’re working on a February show - stay tuned.

**COCOA BEANERY We have two ongoing events at the Cocoa Beanery:

1. Restaurant Art Rotation- Register online hersheyart.org if your interested in displaying

your work for the next rotation on October 7, 2019.

2. Second Thursday Art Show in the social room of Cocoa Beanery is booked for September

19th. (NOTE DATE CHANGE). Register online at hersheyart.org.

* Note - As you are likely aware, the name of this newsletter has been “Prez Sez” for years. I’ve taken the liberty to simply call it the HAAA Monthly Newsletter because I’m tired of worrying about the auto-correct on my computer changing Sez (which is NOT a word) to Sex (which is a word). Every month I double and triple check to make sure I’m not sending out the Prez Sex newsletter! While that title might get more readers, I don’t need the stress or the likely resulting email onslaught of porn!! Thank you for understanding.
